House Hunting Happenings!

Well the competition is fierce as we go neck and neck with all the other "Low End" shoppers (Squirrels) out there trying to find a cheap but livable hovel! (NUT)  I guess this is where my wishing in one hand gets a reality check by whats in the other hand!

We have had a couple (or more) of fantastic finds, only to have them snatched with barely a whiff out from under our nose with a mere Pre-Approval!  Yikes, that smarts!  So we had to go and get a preliminary done so we could at least get achance to put in a bid!  I feel a little excited...like when I am at an auction or on E-Bay!

Let the BIDDING begin>!  HU-AH!  Heads Up A>zz Ho-l-es>!

Looking To No End!

Found out yesterday that there is no more DAP funding, so we are back out on our own limb still!  Oh well, we have never gotten anything too easy before, I cannot imagine that this journy would be any easier!

Fall '09 Update

Yes we are still looking, still trying to find that MAGIC Castle!  LOL, Okay, well at least something we can live in!   We know there is the perfect place and it will happen!  We are confident we can make it happen in the 100+/-T range and have looked at a couple of really decent places too!  We have some money put aside and are stepping up our efforts.  We will be turning in our "Stuff" in to a Mortgage Company some time this (HOPE) next week.  I am still currently researching where we should go.  Can we find a company that isn't out to ream us for applying?

High Hopes

Family Looking To Buy A Home "Around" Redding CA!

We are looking to buy a very low priced house that we can get a CalVet loan on and maybe even try to get the DAP, somewhere aroung Redding Ca that is not too far from Shasta Lake. (Close to work)  My husband has worked for the same company here in Redding for 15+ years, has decent credit and a great payment history. I am disabled and receive SSI. Our income is right at about 31,000 with one child. We prefer a 3 bdrm, not too run down, hopefully with a decent roof and not too "crowded".  We know it sounds crazy, but we need to find something in the under $99,000 range and are hanging onto our high hopes!
